Dr. Rohit Mehta
Dr Rohit Mehta is a Clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, at Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute. His vast knowledge and love to teach and help other’s is one of the many reasons he is a great asset to the foundation.
Dr. David Pearson
Dr. David A. Pearson, he is an emergency medicine physician at Carolinas Medical Center and is the current Director of the Carolinas HealthCare System’s post-arrest resuscitation program known as Code Cool™. His passion and research interests involve prevention and resuscitation from sudden cardiac arrest.”
Tonya Phifer contributes to the O.C. Foundation, Inc. with her vast amount of experience as an entrepreneur. She owns and operates a private investigative business, JPPI, LLC, servicing the legal community throughout North and South Carolina. Tonya is also the CEO of the Charlotte Invasion women’s semi-professional basketball organization. Tonya is a former UNCC student-athlete who strives to empower those with similar athletic backgrounds and professional interest.
Stephanie Tyson, she is the owner of Resourceful solutions II LLC Behavioral health which serves over 5 plus counties in North and South Carolina and growing. She is also apart of the North Carolina mental health commission, appointed by Governor Pat Mccory. She is dedicated to helping and potentially saving lives with her vast knowledge and kind heart!
Kelly Nicole Thomas is the nurse who saved Omar’s life. She decided just 30 minutes prior to the start of the basketball game that she would attend. That decision was the one that changed Omar’s trajectory. Kelly went to school at Carolinas College of Health Sciences where she graduated in 2010. She then worked at Carolina’s Medical Center in the Cardiac ICU from 2010 to 2015. Kelly is now a travel ICU nurse.
Michelle Thomas is the Citizenship & Public Affairs Manager for Microsoft Southeast Region, covering eight states from North Carolina to Florida. Michelle’s responsibilities include developing the citizenship strategy; driving local corporate social responsibility programs including YouthSpark and digital literacy grants and software; and investing in programs that assist in providing technology education and careers for students, the underemployed and the disadvantaged. A native of Charlotte, Michelle Thomas graduated from Spelman College, in Atlanta, Georgia where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.
